Prof. Foad Abd-Allah

Prof. Foad Abd-Allah is a a distinguished Professor of Neurology and Stroke Medicine at Cairo University, Egypt, where he also serves as the Director of the Neurovascular Unit. With a robust background in vascular medicine, stroke imaging, and stroke rehabilitation, he is recognized for his leadership as the World Stroke Organization's Board Director for the Middle East, North Africa, and East Mediterranean regions. His extensive research spans intracranial atherosclerosis, neuroradiology, and neuroscience, contributing significantly to stroke thrombolysis, neurological disorders, and the impact of ultrasound in clinical practice. Prof. Abd-Allah's broad expertise extends to non-communicable diseases such as malaria and tuberculosis, reflecting his comprehensive approach to global health challenges, including child health and disease incidence management.

Dr. Sara Elfarrash

Dr. Sara Elfarrash

Dr. Sara Elfarrash is an Assistant professor of medical Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University Egypt. She got her Ph.D. from Aarhus University, Denmark where she developed a novel model for studying Parkinson's disease in brain slices. Currently, she is leading a dynamic team to understand the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases, focusing mainly on the role of inflammation, using different experimental invivo and invitro models. Through national and international collaborations and funding, Dr.Elfarrash is working on bridging the gap between basic and clinical neuroscience research in Egypt and Africa. Dr. Elfarrash received the IBRO Early Career Award for 2021 and has recently been elected as a new member of  IBRO- ARC.

Ass. Prof. Ahmed Abdellatif

Ass. Prof. Ahmed Abdellatif

Ass. Prof. Ahmed Abdellatif is an assistant professor of biology at The American University in Cairo. He holds an MSc and a PhD in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology from the University of Louisville, and an MBBCH and a master’s in anatomy and embryology from Alexandria University. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Sherman College of Chiropractic and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, and director of the biomedical sciences graduate program at Barry University. Abdellatif has significant experience in curriculum development and teaching courses in human anatomy, neurosciences, and human physiology.
